These are pictures I took last week on a walk down the old railway line (that I wrote about in the post about the Hagley Road). Cities do need their lungs, and greenery can be a reminder that fighting nature is ultimately useless: we can build and build but ultimately the buddleia will take over where the buildings collapse.
I have made this walk in all sorts of conditions: in the dark, and even in the snow. It is a place I go to to reconnect when I need to.
