One of the marvellous things about the modern witchcraft movement is that while we definitely do Right and have a very developed sense of duty, this sense doesn't bring with it the need to be miserable and isn't a grinding sense of duty. Your place in the world and tasks for this incarnation shouldn't make you miserable. You'll know you're on the right track if it feels right and leads you to the ecstasy of the Goddess.
Which of course is not to say it's always rosy, so here is a spell for the times of doubt. These are magical words and are guaranteed to set things back on the right track.

ReplyDeleteI developed two opinions of the British when I was a kid in the 80's 1. They had a drinking problem that might be worse than the Americans, 2. British men are strangely obsessed with being spanked. Was this the fault of Absolutely Fabulous or the Monty Pythons? Either way, I thought you were all rather odd, but then as I got older, I rather liked people who I thought might possibly stranger than me. Hahaha

You may have seen the protestor who plays Goodbye Boris really loudly. I've tweeted him trying to get him to play The Stripper, so won't comment further on being strange.

DeleteThe perception of American women is both comical and somewhat dangerous in other countries. It's unsettling how many men thought I would have sex with them if they just asked, "because everyone knows American women are fast and easy" according to them. Just because some of our restaurants have pull up windows (drive thrus) doesn't mean we are!
I find that really strange. I personally think of the US as being quite conservative! Obviously it's a generalization but certainly more conservative than here. But then I've never been there!
DeleteThinking of drinking I realized not long ago that most places don't understand our pub culture and what to do. I love that we colonised the world but kept that secret also how to make tea. I went in a pub the other week just behind a guy who asked for a glass of beer, bless him, and really looked daunted by the pint he got. 😁
